Jim Fox
Interim Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Fox, interim CEO, has served as a member of Envestnet’s Board since February 2015 and Chair of the Board since March 2020.
Previously. Mr. Fox retired as Non-Executive Chairman of FundQuest, a leading provider of managed account programs upon its acquisition by Envestnet in 2011 after serving in that role since 2010 and, prior to that, as its President and CEO starting in 2005. Mr. Fox has over 30 years of senior executive experience with the BISYS Group, First Data, eOne Global, and PFPC.
He currently serves as a director of Madison CF (UK) Limited, The Ultimus Group and Yukon YC Holdings. He also served as a director of Brinker Capital from 2015 until 2020.
Mr. Fox participated in the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He earned a M.B.A. in Finance from Suffolk University and a B.A. in Economics from the State University of New York at Oswego.
Josh Warren
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Warren is responsible for implementing and managing internal financial controls and budgets, managing the company's future capital investment requirements, cultivating relationships with outside financing sources, and helping to lead our major strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Envestnet, Mr. Warren served most recently as Managing Director and Global Head of Business Strategy for iShares and Index Investments for BlackRock from 2021-2023. Prior to his role in BlackRock's iShares and index investments business, Warren served as a Managing Director in BlackRock's Corporate Strategy and Development team, working with senior leaders at BlackRock to shape the vision, direction and execution of initiatives related to Aladdin, its tech platform that unifies the investment management process, and to drive the Aperio and eFront acquisitions. He also played a significant role in developing the strategic relationship between BlackRock and Envestnet in 2018. Warren has also been a member of the Board of Directors and the Audit & Risk Committee of iCapital, a fintech platform for alternative investments, from 2019-2023.
Prior to joining BlackRock in 2015, Warren's experience included roles at Barclays; Foros Group; the United States Department of the Treasury; Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP; and working for former Senator John Kerry. He is a CFA charterholder and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation. Warren is a graduate of Dartmouth College and NYU Law School.
Shelly O’Brien
Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and Corp. Secretary
Ms. O'Brien is responsible for oversight of the firm-wide legal and compliance function; coordination and implementation of firm strategic business development initiatives; and internal policies and procedures. Prior to joining Envestnet, O'Brien was General Counsel and Director of Legal and Compliance for ING (U.S.) Securities, Futures & Options Inc. (ING SF&O), which operated ING Barings' global exchange-traded derivatives activities. In addition to serving ING affiliates worldwide, ING SF&O served customers primarily in the professional and institutional sectors.
O'Brien earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Northwestern University. She earned a J.D. from Hamline University School of Law and an LL.M in Taxation from John Marshall Law School.
